HEAT PUMPS
Make the move to high-efficiency technology.
There are two types of heat pumps—geothermal and air source. Both systems operate similarly, they just derive their thermal energy from different places. In cold weather, Geothermal heat pumps gather heat from beneath the ground and transfer it throughout your home or business. In warm weather, the process is reversed and heat from buildings is extracted and transferred into the ground where it is cooled and returned at a more comfortable temperature. Air source heat pumps function the same way except they collect and transfer heat to and from your home or office from the outside air vs. the ground.
Once collected, heat can be circulated throughout your environment via a traditional forced air fan or incorporated into radiant in-floor solutions. Thermal energy can even be used to pre-heat your hot water heater, reducing the energy required to maintain the desired temperature on your appliance.
Ductless mini split heat pumps
Mini splits are smaller, more flexible heating and cooling options which are great for additions, remodels, and restoration projects. They are also great for zone heating of up to four individual rooms. Each room may have its own thermostat, helping you dial in the precise comfort you need. Mini splits also have no ducts, so they avoid the energy losses associated with the ductwork of central forced air systems. Operating costs tend to be lower, as well—especially if they qualify for rebates and incentives in your area.
Regardless of the heat pump you choose, you can rest easy knowing both options are drastically more efficient than traditional systems like natural gas furnaces, heating oil, or electric baseboard heat.

“About a year ago we needed to replace our HVAC system and contacted a number of contractors for recommendations and pricing. Perfect Temp gave us a series of options including a state-of-the-art air source heat pump/AC unit that we elected to have installed. The project was completed on the dates promised at a significantly lower cost than offered by their competitors.”
